I am Kim Mortensen. When I was 15 years old, I got a job at the “Grouse Nest Dining Room”. At that time, it was a 5 star Restaurant located on the top of Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver British Columbia Canada. The only access was a Gondola ride up 3500 feet. At first, I got the job so I could get free skiing. Then, I was trained by a Michelin Starred German chef, and I found my love for food.
My wife Darcy and I are most passionate about Cooking with Garlic, growing Garlic and making Black Garlic. We travel around North America, discovering Foods and recipes from around the world. We have dubbed ourselves Travellers and Thieves because we take recipes we find in our travels and incorporate organic Garlic and Black Garlic into the most delicious foods, in an effort to help others live healthier and happier lives. I am lucky to connect with and inspire people all around the world.
